Join me this December for a #ChristmasCollabWithFafa! My closest friends and family will be sharing their favourite Christmas recipes through Dec 1st to Christmas day featured here!
To start the month off, I prepared a traditional breakfast at my house since I can remember; FRENCH TOAST! I love this recipe, it’s so easy, I started making them when I was 7 years old.
If you love this recipe as much as I do, use the hashtag #ChristmasCollabWithFafa Christmas morning to show me how yours turned out!
Snowflake French Toast
2-3 Soft square bread
2 tbsp cream
2 pinches of salt
1 tbsp oil
1/2 cup frozen berries
1 tbsp water
1/3 cup sugar
1 slice of lemon
In a small bowl, add 1 egg, 2 tbsp cream, 2 pinches of salt and whisk until all ingredients are incorporated well.
If you want to make your breakfast extra special, make Christmas related cutouts out of the bread. I used a snowflake cookie cutter, the rest of the leftover bread, I used for my breakfast bake recipe.
In a small boiler, add 1/2 cup of frozen berries, 1 tbsp of water, 1/3 cup of sugar and 1 slice of lemon. Start heating until boiling and let boil on medium heat for 5-10 mins.
While out berry sauce is getting ready, start by adding 1 tbsp of oil in a pan on high heat. Dip each bread slice or snowflake into the egg mixture. Place on heated pan and fry each side until golden (around 2 mins).
Serve with berry sauce on top and some icing sugar!
