To make those Turkey Bacon Chips even better, my brother and I created a delicious caramelized onion dip with hints of cranberry to go with the theme of Christmas! Enjoy!
Caramelized Onion & Cranberry Dip
1 tbsp butter
1/3 cup cream cheese
1/4 cup sour cream
1/4 tsp pepper
pinch of salt
5 tbsp water
1/2 cup fresh cranberries
1/4 cup sugar
In a medium bowl, mix 1/3 cup of cream cheese, 14 cup of sour cream, pepper and salt.
Heat small pan at high heat and add 1 tbsp of butter and toss in chopped onion. Cook at medium heat until onion have caramelized.
In a small saucer, heat 5 tbsp of water, cranberries and sugar until boiling. Once boiling, cook at low heat for about 10 mins or until cranberries are soft.
Heat oven at 420 degrees F.
Mix cream cheese sauce with the caramelized onions and add in the cranberries. Mix well and add sauce into a baking pot. Sprinkle with some grated cheese and bake in the oven for 5-10 mins or until cheese is melted!
Enjoy with a bowl of regular chips or some delicious Turkey Bacon Chips!
