Let me know in the comments below what you guys think and what other basics you want to learn to make!
How to make the perfect white rice
2 cups rice
2 cups water
Salt to taste
4 thick mini slices of butter (around 1/4 cup)
Take a strainer and dump in 2 cups of rice and wash under cold water (around 2-3 mins). You can use a coffee cup, a small bowl as 1 cup. This recipe is all about levels and having the same amount of rice and water. So if you’re using a coffee cup as 1 cup of rice then you have to use the coffee cup as 1 cup of water.
Dump rice into your rice pan. Then using the same cup you used, add in 2 cups of water.
Add in the salt and mix.
Place rice pan on heat at high-medium and stir. Keep stirring until the water starts to evaporate then STOP mixing (this is very important). Once water starts to evaporate, put heat at low (at 3) and add a butter slice to each side of the pan like a + sign as each end.
Cover with a ceramic plate and close the top of your rice pan. Set timer to 20 mins.
Once cooked, give it a good mix and serve!
